  • Woman: Listen to show.
  • LPC: Yeah, I was trying to make my way up 'ere.
  • Woman: Yeah, I have, you need to give me a cross street or something.
  • Woman: I have no i—I've asked four people where you are.
  • Woman: I don't know where you are. [laughs]
  • LPC: I b—I was holdin' for someone to get on the line and it went silent.
  • Woman: Yeah, I had you on hold. Um,
  • Woman: Can you give me cross streets?
  • Woman: Are you in the mountains?
  • Woman: Are you downtown Denver?
  • Woman: Where you at?
  • LPC: Yeah, the line fell silent there.
  • LPC: I apologize. Um—
  • Woman: No, that's fine.
  • Woman: I just need to know.
  • Woman: where you are so I can kinda help you out here, 'cause I have four different people;
  • Woman: no one knows what you're talking about. ''[laughs].
  • LPC: Oh, you hit it smack dab on the head.
  • LPC: Um, I live across the Great Divide.
  • LPC: You know, I've got the four acres and I'm in the fork.
  • Woman: Okay.
  • Woman: Are you trying to get to Denver?
  • LPC: I'm trying to get to Twist & Shout
  • Woman: Yeah, we're in Denver.
  • LPC: Are you Twist & Shout?
  • Woman: Yes, we are.
  • Woman: In Denver, Colorado.
  • LPC: Good, good, good, good! Good!
  • Woman: Yeah.
  • LPC: Well, I've got the, ah, two large creeks runnin' through the middle of my back yard—
  • Woman: Yeah, that's not, that doesn't help me.
  • Woman: I need something else.
  • Woman: You need to give me the name of the city that you're in or something.
  • Woman: ’Cause I can't help you unless I know where you are.
  • LPC: The campfire pits.
  • LPC: I've got 'em on either side.
  • Woman: That doesn't help me.
  • Woman: You've gotta give me the name of the town you're in.
  • Woman: It's just a campfire pit? That doesn't help me.
  • Woman: 'Cause the next thing I'm gonna suggest is Google Maps.
  • LPC: Well, I think you've hit it smack dab on the head.
  • Woman: For the third time, yeah, yeah.
  • LPC: Well, what about the light rail?
  • LPC: I mean, that shows some real initiative on my part, don't you think?
  • Woman: Yes, it does.
  • Woman: You could take the light rail to either LoDo or you could take it to—You can take it to LoDo and you can take the 15 down.
  • Woman: That's one way to do it.
  • Woman: but other than that, I—I really don't know where you are, man.
  • LPC: Are you talkin' 'bout the real estate market, that I get to see everything on the way?
  • LPC: 'Cause it's hot right now.
  • LPC: Is that what you're saying?
  • Woman: Not at all.
  • Woman: I don't think we understand each other at all, man.
  • LPC: No, no, no, no.
  • LPC: You're just adding an addendum to.
  • LPC: my original question, is what you're kinda doing, right?
  • Woman: Not at all, man.
  • Woman: I'm just tryin' to help you and I'm confused as hell right now, so—
  • LPC: Okay.
  • Woman: —you can try to take the light rail to the bus station;
  • Woman: That's one way to do it.
  • LPC: And you've got bobbleheads, yeah?
  • Woman: Yeah, we got bobbleheads.
  • LPC: Okay, well, I think I'm showing initiative here.
  • Woman: That's great! And I'll see you when you get here!
  • LPC: Okay, so when I start out, which direction do I start out?
  • Woman: Depends on where you're startin' from,
  • Woman: Right?
  • Woman: Yeah, I know, right?
  • Woman: So, um, you could either try Google Maps at this point or you could check your phone, 'cause I don’t know where you're startin' at.
  • LPC: One thing you didn't mention, though, is how all the street signs are at the far side at the intersections,
  • LPC: meaning you only discover the street you're looking for after it's kinda too late, y'know?
  • Woman: That's okay, yeah! But I'll see you when ya get here, man!
  • LPC: Are you on a service road, w—?
  • Woman: We're on the largest street in the United States [chuckling], the one that goes the longest from east to west.
  • Woman: You can't miss it.
  • LPC: My point is there's no way to turn around for at least a good three to five miles once you start out.
  • LPC: And there—service roads don't exist, so it's—
  • Woman: —Oh, okay, well I—I don't know that, man.
  • Woman: I've got to go.
  • Woman: I'm the only one here, so good luck, man.
  • LPC: If something's blocking the road, I'm sunk.
  • LPC: Y'know what I'm saying?
  • Woman: Yeah, you are, and I don't know how to help that, man.
  • Woman: We'll see when you get here.
  • LPC: Listen to me.
